Counseling & coaching for expats
Life's too short to continue acting
like everything's fine if it's not.
You moved abroad for new experiences or a job opportunity but you didn't expect it to be this challenging.
Do any of these sound like you?
You feel tense, stressed or anxious
You're isolated from personal support
You feel lonely or depressed
You're having difficulty finding rootedness within the expat community or local culture
You're struggling to adapt to the culture / culture shock
You're struggling in your relationship with your partner
You feel stuck in a job that isn't working out
You're unsure if you should return home or stay
You find yourself coping in unhelpful ways
The problem isn’t that you aren’t smart or capable enough, but that you can't navigate it alone. No one can.
How would you be different if you had more support, connection, and peace?
You don't have to feel alone when facing tough life situations living abroad.
What would help feel like?
Feel supported and connected
Learn ways to manage big emotions like stress, anxiety, and anger
Overcome depression and learn to thrive
Recover peace and connection in your relationship with your partner
Find solutions together so you don't have to figure it all out alone
Get unstuck in your career and move in a direction you're excited about
I'm Whitney Russell
I'm an international counselor and coach and I have a passion for helping expats overcome what's hurting or holding them back so they can thrive.
I care about helping you experience more life wherever you are in the world.
I've worked with expats all over the globe and know they often struggle with stressful problems that are hard to find adequate help and support for. There may be a limited number of providers in your community that share your language and culture, or they may not have sufficient training or experience to address the issues you're facing. Since 2013 I've provided high-quality, confidential counseling and coaching services to help you navigate your life circumstances.
Getting Started is Easy
Do you think you should have to struggle another year or two with your current problems?
Life would have been so much easier if you had been taught crucial skills like managing difficult relationship dynamics, how to communicate well, how to handle stress or anxiety, or how to navigate your career, wouldn't it?
No one taught you how to understand your own life, or what to do with anger, grief, or pain. What to do with setbacks, lack of confidence, loneliness, or how to get yourself out of a difficult situation you feel stuck in. It's not your fault that you can't navigate yourself out of these problems. Humans are designed to need other people to help them do this.
What would it be like if you had the tools you need to feel peace, confidence, and a sense of purpose in your life, relationships, and career?
I wish I could tell you that given enough time, people's problems fix themselves (but they don't). Counseling and coaching can save you years of unproductive, wasted time of being stuck in the same place. How much is that worth to you?
What would it be like to...
Live with more peace and less stress
Have better relationships and connect with the people you love
Have healthy ways of coping with your emotions
Be free from painful memories of events from your past
Feel confident and able to start setting and fulfilling big dreams
Move forward in a career you thrive in
It it worth it? Yes, it is!
